The benefits our community are afforded having partnered with the JSO are many. We may not see or think of some of these benefits on a daily basis. Some include:

Increased presence of officers helps deter criminal activity.
Officers have their radios on during their hours serving our community. Thus, if a community member calls 911 and our off duty officer is within the community, response time is very fast.
Unlike security companies, our off duty officers are authorized to make arrests if the situation requires such action.
Because the same officers are patrolling our neighborhood they become very familiar with it. They are attuned and recognize things that are not in place and address them appropriately.
Our officers are available to you and your inquiries.

These are only a few of the benefits, and they are very important and beneficial to our neighborhood. The objective is to provide our community a safe and enjoyable community to live and raise our families.

NOTICE: Please remember and inform any visitors that JSO enforcement of all traffic laws are strictly enforced. This includes, but is not limited to parking opposing traffic, parking too closely to fire hydrants and stop signs, fully stopping at stop signs and blocking sidewalks.
